Our story

How we met

We met completely by accident. We were studying together. In our second year we had a statistics class, which turned out to be quite a problem for us. We both had to resit the exam. I was sitting in front of the classroom feeling so nervous, reading my notes over and over again. Tomek must have noticed how nervous I was, because he came over and started telling me anecdotes to calm me down. They were so effective that we walked into the exam laughing, and afterwards we continued our conversation in a nearby café. And of course we passed!

Our first date

I waited outside her apartment for a good half an hour. If I had known she would be so late, I would have popped out to my house to change my shirt. It was all wet from the rain. It decided to rain just when I was getting her some sunflowers. She loves them. It’s too bad they’re so hard to find in our town. I only found them at the fifth florist. There she comes! Her smile makes me forget about everything. And I know it’s worth to make an effort for her.

When we became a couple

Tomek was walking me home after a party. That night we danced the night away together. On the way home, I was still singing the last song. Tomek enjoyed listening to it and finally joined in. We were a good duo. In front of the apartment, Tomek suddenly got serious, and my feminine instinct had already told me what was going on. So on the 1st of June I accepted to become Tomek’s girlfriend.

Who was the first one to say “I love you”

To be honest, we still argue about it to this day. I’m convinced it was Aga, but she keeps on saying it was me.

Engagement

It was the most wonderful day of my life. We went on holidays to Greece. The weather was great, the attractions were endless. On the last day we decided to enjoy the beach and the sun only. I was reading a book when Tomek went to get us some drinks. I was surprised that it wasn’t Tomek who brought me the cold drink, it was our favourite barmaid instead. She just told me that Tomek was already waiting for me, and she would take me there. He had organised a beautiful dinner for me, and I said YES!
